This Organic beeswax is sourced from hives where the bees are guaranteed to not come into contact with any plants that may have had pestecide or similar contamination.
Great care goes into ensuring the source for this product meets international organic certification requirements. Hives are located in remote valley areas away from farmed and cultivated land. Bees have a natural flight distance and height limit ensuring they can only visit plants within the locality of the hives.
This wax is refined and is therefore normally a creamy-white colour.
Beeswax is an essential ingredient in any balm making, for thickening and holding the mixture together, hydrating the lips and creating a protective barrier over the lips to help the balm to stay put. It is also a hydrating ingredient in its own right.
