Basil Essential Oil (Methyl Eugenol-Free)

A fresh and spicy oil that helps with digestive problems and relaxes the body & refreshes the mind.
This version of basil oil has the methyl eugenol almost entirely removed (0.06% remaining) to allow it to be used in toiletries to comply with current regulations.
A classic cooking herb and the oil has a light, fresh, sweet and spicy note with a balsamic undertone.
It is a very good digestive helping with nausea and gas and helps to tone the small intestines.
It is also good for travel sickness. As an emmenagogue, it will help with scanty periods but obviously do not use in pregnancy. Being a mild sedative it does help with insomnia and is an adrenal cortex stimulant.
Useful to use on stings and bites and to some extent as an insect repellent.
It is a very good nervine so helps with nervous tension and clears the head. This would make it a lovely choice to use in shampoos and body washes to relieve mental fatigue but be aware of the cautions.
