This superior, cold pressed Virgin Organic Coconut oil comes from a Fairtrade project in Sri Lanka.
It is a solid oil but will go liquid in warmer temperatures (24c+).
Used as a moisturiser, Coconut oil can repair skin, and prevent blemishes and wrinkles, leaving a youthful shine.
This Coconut oil is food grade so can be used in cooking. It is said to provide many health benefits.
Coconut oil prevents dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin and helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections.
Coconut oil also helps in preventing premature aging and degenerative diseases due to its well-known antioxidant properties.
Our Virgin Coconut oil is made using machinery to obtain the oil and is produced under strict quality control procedures and certified organic by the Soil Association. Our Virgin coconut oil is not made from copra, but from fresh coconuts which are processed as soon as they have been harvested. Once the oil is extracted there is no further processing, Akoma’s coconut oil is simply raw.
There no boiling or heating which destroys many nutrients; the coconut oil obtained this way is considered to carry less health benefits. Ours is packed full of healthy nutrients.
This oil will give your products a lovely natural coconut smell as it's not deodorised.
