Jojoba wax is extracted from the seed of the jojoba tree.
It is well known that the wax ester is very similar in composition to the skin's oils or sebum. This makes it an excellent emollient for the skin as it believes it is getting enough oil, thus balancing oil production.
Jojoba wax has a melting point of 65c.
It can be a useful alternative to beeswax for Vegans, to use in balms, creams, lotion bars etc.
Please note that Jojoba wax is softer than beeswax, so you can add more to your balms than beeswax.
